Hello everyone!
My name is Brianna Castiniera, and I was fortunate to be part of group 4 for our projection titled election matter. Our professor presented us with four-well-thought-out options to explore, each offering a unique perspective and allowing us to dive deep into a significant issue. The goal was not only to research these topics but also to engage with them thoughtfully, sharing our insights through a well researched presentation.
As a class, we had the chance to choose one of these options and really immerse ourselves in understanding its relevance and impact. Each group worked together to develop a presentation that would inform and engage our audience, contributing a better understanding of the subject of matter
I was genuinely impressed by the quality of work presented by each group. Everyone did an outstanding job organizing their powerpoint slides, making their content both informative and visually engaging. One of the highlights for me was seeing how each group created a brochure that brought out the key points of their presentation in a brief yet meaningful way.
It was truly inspiring to see how each group brought their unique perspective to the table, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my own thoughts and reflections with all of you in this blog post.

lets begin
The subjects presented consisted of the following: Gender Equality, Education Policies, Immigration Policies, and finally the Electorate and the Election Process.

Gender equality
My group My group and I chose to focus on gender equality for our project, and we began by collaborating closely to plan our approach. Together, we outlined our objectives and decided on the key topics we wanted to cover. To ensure fair participation and active engagement, we assigned specific roles and responsibilities to each group member, allowing everyone to contribute their strengths.
We then turned our attention to designing our PowerPoint presentation, carefully determining the number of slides needed to present our information in a clear and organized manner. From the start, our main goal was to create a presentation that would not only inform our classmates and professor, but also provide an engaging and visually appealing experience that would educate and captivate our audience.
Throughout the process, I truly felt that our group worked exceptionally well together. During the presentation, it was evident how we supported one another—whenever a speaker needed assistance, someone was always ready to help. We also ensured smooth transitions between topics, keeping the presentation cohesive and well-organized. This was the result of our careful preparation and timely collaboration.
Each member also added valuable insights to their part of the speech, which greatly enhanced the overall quality of our project. I would like to thank our professor, Ms. Sinkoff, whose guidance helped all of us improve our skills in preparing and giving speeches, whether they were for small or big presentations.

Education policies
To start my review of the first presentation on education policies, I want to praise the team for their hard work and effort. I really enjoyed learning about how education has changed over time. Education policy is a very important topic because it affects not only us today but also the students of tomorrow. It’s a subject that definitely deserves our attention.
One point that stood out to me was the opinions they shared from teachers, especially about how the global pandemic in 2019, also known as COVID-19, impacted students' academic and social skills. I can relate to this, as I personally experienced a decline in both study habits and social skills during my last year of middle school and throughout my freshman year of high school. The pandemic made me feel unmotivated, and I struggled to maintain good grades
Overall, I really enjoyed this group’s presentation. It was well-organized, informative, and kept me engaged. I can honestly say it was one of my favorites, as I felt like I learned something new with each slide.

Immigration policies
Next, I’d like to reflect on the second group’s presentation, which focused on immigration policies. I really enjoyed this presentation—it was well-organized and clearly put together. Their brochure highlighted the main similarities and differences between Donald Trump’s and Kamala Harris’s views on immigration reform. It was clear that the group put in a lot of effort to gather accurate and up-to-date information, as both the brochure and presentation were well-researched and informative.
In the brochure, under "Trump’s Impact on Immigration," they mentioned that Trump has consistently supported strict immigration policies, including continuing the construction of the Mexican border wall, which was a key promise from his first term. On the other hand, under "Harris’ Impact on Immigration," the brochure suggested that Kamala Harris is more likely to take a compassionate and reform-oriented approach to immigration. I found these contrasting views especially interesting, especially since this is an election year, and these issues directly affect us as citizens. Overall, the group did a great job presenting the positions of both parties in a clear and respectful way.

Electorate and Election Process
The final group I’ll be reflecting on presented on the Electorate and the Election Process. I found this presentation both informative and insightful. It’s important for everyone to understand how decisions are made in the government, and this group provided valuable information on how the election process works, its history, and why our votes as citizens matter.
In their brochure, they included a timeline of voting history, which made it easy to see how voting rights and processes have changed over time. They also discussed the issues in the 2000 presidential election between Bush and Gore, particularly the problems with ballot machines that caused confusion and affected the vote count. As the group pointed out, this event highlighted the need for improvements in the voting system. Overall, I thought the presentation was well-organized and well thought out. I really enjoyed learning about the history of voting and how it has evolved over the years.

Thank you!
That wraps up my blog post. I really appreciated this assignment because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to explore topics I wasn’t familiar with. Throughout this class, I’ve learned to speak publicly in ways I didn’t think I was capable of before. Thank you for taking the time to read and reflect with me on my classmates' presentations.
Really excellent reflection! Thank you!!
